Miss Gay Missouri Pageant

      
Rules & Regulations
1)   Contestants must have reached the age of 21 prior to the entry date into the official preliminary.

2)   Any female impersonator not previously chosen Miss Gay Missouri is eligible to compete in the pageant.  Absolutely no sex changes, breast implants, hormones or silicone injections (excluding the facial area) will be allowed.  Also, you cannot alter your body in any manner described above DURING your reign, should you be chosen the winner, as Miss Gay Missouri or Miss Gay America.  If you do, the promoters, the Miss Gay Missouri Board and Norma Kristie, Inc. reserve the right to take your title from you.

3)   Judging will be on a total point system, with scores sheets provided by Norma Kristie, Inc..  Any ties will be broken by the answering of questions by the persons involved.  Any questions you have regarding your scores must be taken up with the promoters or the MGM board.

4)   Contestants will be judged in the following catagories: Evening Gown, Talent, On-Stage Question, Male Interview and Solo Talent.

5)   Talent Presentations are limited to seven minutes.  Any questions concerning the time limit will be decided by the judges.  Your presentation must be recorded at the beginning of a new cassette tape (no records or CD's allowed) and must be the only song on the tape.  A backup tape is required.  You may not change your talent number from preliminary night to final night.  It must be the same as far as content of musical selection.  Due to space available on prelim night, other rules may apply which we will inform you of those when they become available.

6)   A THREE minute setup time will be enforced for all talent presentations.  Also, a TWO minute tear-down time for all props for talent will be strictly enforced.  50 points will be taken off the final score of any contestant exceeding this time limit.

7)   As Miss Gay Missouri and 1st Alternate, it is your OBLIGATION to attend and compete in the Miss Gay America Pageant.  Your entry fee for the national pageant will be paid for you.  If you cannot attend MGA, you must return your MGM prize money.  You must give notice of your innability to attend MGA at least 30 days before MGA begins.  If you do not do so, you may be barred from competing again in MGM the following year (1st Alternate) or retiring the crown the following year (winner).

8)   Contestants must be on time for all scheduled rehearsals and all other pageant functions.  Any contestant who is even one minute late will have 50 points deducted from his score for EACH occurrence.  Alcohol is the only drug permitted for use at the pageant.  All others are prohibitted.  We reserve the right to eject from the pageant any contestant using drugs OR abusing alcohol.

9)   Pageant promoters do not furnish props or musical instruments for talent presentations.

10)   MGM promoters reserve the right to withdraw the titles "Miss Gay Missouri or 1st Alternate" from the title holder who:
  A.) Do not present themselves in a proffesional manner
  B.) Demean the pageant or the title they hold.
  C.) Cause substantial problems for the promoters or for those with whom they perform.
