Throughout my 5 years of competing for Miss Gay Missouri I have had so much support from so many people. Here we go...... To my big sister Faith Iman, I always have to thank you, because without you, there would be no Sparkle Iman. Talents..... (Chicago) thanks to Faith and Donnie.... (Orange Colored Skies) Ricky, Jeremy, Stephan, Paul, Robert, Marcus, Michael, and Aaron.... (Last Dance) Robert and Stephan..... (Orange Colored Skies) Ricky, Diamond, Keith, Justin, Dakota and John. I know that times were rough, but we got through it and it paid off. To all the bars who helped me out, Shaft Nightclub (St. Joe) Tootsies (KC Black Pride), and Sidekicks (Kansas City), I thank you all. To Dustin and Mike thanks so much for your special help this year, it really made me feel good to know that even with your new Miss Gay Northwest, you were still by my side. To Chance, my dresser... You worked so hard to make sure I was flawless, and it paid off you were the winning key! Last but not least Darrin and L'Oreal you were the best promoters I ever had... you were there for me when I needed you, at any given moment. I had a perfect team which led to a perfect year. It is truly a blessing to have such great people beside me.
My goal as Miss Gay Missouri 2008 is to help cultivate and keep the system at it's best. I hope to keep all the prelims Jade arranged, and to expand and add at least five more. With the drive I've shown in my five years of competing for Miss Gay Missouri I will strive to be the best Miss Gay Missouri I can be.
In closing..... My heart was set on winning this year, and that I did! I want everyone who has it in their heart to become Miss Gay Missouri, to keep pushing until your dream is reached. Remember I didn't win overnight, it took five years and I was determined. Devote your heart and your mind to it, and it will fall into place.
Thank you all.... I look forward to an incredible year, not only as your new Symbol of Excellence, but more importantly... as your friend :)
